About The Position

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Insurance Agent to build and manage an agency serving educators in the Sanford, North Carolina area. The agent helps educators find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security, builds market access and relationships, presents products to groups and individuals, and grows a business within an exclusive territory. The role includes a dedicated Service Representative for client service work, technology and training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs. No external office is required for the first two years.

Compensation is performance-based under a 1099 arrangement, with incentives tied to activity and success during the first 48 months, including quarterly production incentives. The posting describes an industry-leading 48-month incentive package.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong business management skills.
• Resident state General Lines Insurance Licenses: Life and Health Insurance License and Property and Casualty Insurance License.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

• 2–5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred).
