About The Position

Rae-Zor Grooming Boarding Daycare is hiring a part-time Pet Care Attendant to care for patients and boarding pets while supporting the team. The role focuses on providing comfort to animals and keeping the facility clean, organized, and safe. It may suit students, animal lovers, or people interested in getting started in veterinary medicine. The schedule includes Monday and Tuesday afternoons, rotating weekends, and occasional fill-in shifts Wednesday through Friday. Compensation is negotiable and based on experience.

Requirements

Knowledge of routine animal care, such as feeding and walking.
Comfort working around animals, including nervous or anxious pets.
A patient, caring personality.
Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude.
Ability to follow instructions carefully and stay organized.
Passion and eagerness to grow and learn.
Availability to work weekdays and weekends.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 40 lbs and being on your feet for the shift.

Responsibilities

Feed, walk, and provide routine care for patients and boarding pets.
Comfort and gently handle nervous or anxious animals.
Clean runs and keep the kennel area organized and free of safety hazards.
Clean outdoor play areas and equipment.
Observe animal behavior and health conditions and report changes to the management team.
Keep accurate records and care logs.
Support the team in delivering outstanding customer service to clients.
