About The Position
Horace Mann is seeking an Insurance Agent to serve educators and their families in San Bernardino, California. The role focuses on helping educators address financial challenges through insurance and financial solutions tailored to their needs. Agents can build a practice by prospecting and working with established books of business, developing community and professional relationships, and presenting products to potential customers. Horace Mann provides training, streamlined products and sales processes, market and relationship-building programs, and a performance-based compensation package with incentive and commission opportunities. The position is conducted in person, in the field, and in an office; there is no external office requirement. Insurance producers are accountable to the Regional Field Leader, who also acts as the Agency Consultant.
Requirements
- Possess or be able to obtain resident-state General Lines licenses for Life & Health and Property & Casualty.
- Be willing to invest time and resources to ensure business success.

- Present confidently and enthusiastically to potential customers, both one-on-one and in large groups.
