About The Position

Hawx Pest Control is seeking an Insulation Service Professional for a hybrid sales and service role. The work may flex according to workload, with the goal of focusing primarily on closing sales. The position supports specialty services—including German cockroach, bed bug, termite, rodent, exclusion, and insulation services where available—as well as general pest control, outdoor packages, and other ancillary services. The employee communicates about insect biology and behavior, identifies specialty pest infestations, builds value through the sales process, and generates revenue while providing professional customer service and completing scheduled services. The role includes installing and removing insulation, applying vapor barriers, conducting energy audits, recommending solutions, performing pest-control treatments, and following up with customers. Work may take place in crawl spaces, attics, on rooftops, and in confined areas. The position requires safe use and care of company-issued tools, equipment, and vehicles, and accurate service and customer records. Requirements

Must pass required background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check.
Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
Must work well in the presence of all pests.
Physical labor experience, including working outdoors.
Ability to bend, lift, sit, stretch, reach, and crouch.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to manage time and responsibilities.
Able to communicate effectively, listen actively, and work with people of different personalities and departments.
Proficient with commonly used documents and software, including word-processing and spreadsheet tools, and able to learn new software.
Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple workflows to completion on time.
Able to understand operational processes, improve workflow efficiency, and collaborate across departments.
Able to use task-management software such as Asana to organize, track, prioritize, and complete routine tasks.

Responsibilities

Install fiberglass, cellulose, and spray-foam insulation by reading blueprints or specifications, cutting materials to fit around obstacles, and securing them with staples, tape, or screws.
Apply vapor barriers and insulation to walls, ducts, pipes, and other surfaces in accordance with safety regulations and energy-efficiency standards.
Remove and dispose of old insulation in accordance with environmental and health guidelines.
Perform pest-control treatments using environmentally responsible products and follow product-label mixing, safety, and application protocols.
Conduct energy audits, recommend solutions, and support sales efforts to improve customer efficiency and satisfaction.
Work safely in crawl spaces, attics, on rooftops, and in confined areas; climb ladders and navigate different structure types.
Maintain accurate records of materials used, services performed, and customer communications.
Care for company-issued tools, equipment, vehicle, and gas card.
Follow up with customers after service completion to confirm satisfaction and identify further service opportunities.
Respond promptly to leads, conduct inspections, close sales, and process work using handheld devices and software platforms.
Perform job duties safely, adhere to safety policies and procedures, and reinforce a culture of safety within the team.
Provide professional customer service while following a daily service schedule and selling pest-control, insulation, and related services.
