About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for PSYC 2P01, Roadmap to Careers in Psychology, for the Fall/Winter 2026-27 academic term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The instructor will be responsible for delivering course content, holding office hours, and supervising students. The role involves a nominal workload of 195 hours per half-credit course, with specific duties outlined in Article 22 of the Collective Agreement. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are also responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59 and for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Requirements

  • MA or PhD in Psychology.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching a career preparation course delivered in an academic setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with hybrid courses (part online; part face-to-face).
  • Demonstrated experience with courses that incorporate a community-based experiential learning opportunity.
  • Experience programming and grading using Interview Stream software.
  • Familiarity with online resources for occupational research and Canadian job search websites.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver course content for PSYC 2P01, Roadmap to Careers in Psychology.
  • Be available through regular office hours and appointments for supervision and contact with students.
  • Responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course if employed in a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent.
