About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for HIST 2P92, The French Revolution Contested, for the Fall 2026 term. This position involves scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, and working with teaching assistants. Requirements
- Ph.D. in French History (or senior doctoral candidate or Ph.D. in a related field of History if no qualified applicants)
- Demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in the history and historiography of the French Revolution
- Demonstrated scholarly engagement with the historical profession
- Experience in teaching undergraduate university History courses
- Evidence of teaching excellence in History at the undergraduate university level (e.g., letters of reference, course/performance evaluations, and/or other components of a teaching dossier)
