About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for STAT 1P98 D2 Fall. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group). The compensation is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) and $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement. Requirements

  • PhD in Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent is required (in the absence of applicants holding a PhD, applicants with a Masters or equivalent will be considered)
  • Demonstrated success in the teaching of undergraduate university mathematics courses, particularly introductory statistics
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in teaching large classes for students who are not mathematics majors, and in communicating mathematics effectively at an elementary university level.

Responsibilities

  • Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.
