About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group for the course ECON 3P01 - HISTORY OF ECONOMIC THOUGHT I. The position is for the Fall D2 term, with an effective start date of September 1, 2026. The compensation is $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) or $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as lecture preparation, student consultation, marking, grading, course administration, grade appeals, and handling cases of academic dishonesty, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.

Requirements

  • A PhD or ABD in Economics or MA in Economics with teaching experience.
  • Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Economics.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
