About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for ECON 3P28 Fall D2, a full course in Environmental Economics. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) or $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. The role involves scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time, including lecture preparation, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration.

Requirements

  • A PhD or ABD in Economics, or MA in Economics, with teaching experience.
  • Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Environmental Economics.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
