About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for the ECON 2P28 - ECONOMICS OF THE ENVIRONMENT course for the Fall D2 term. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for this role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) or $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Requirements

• A PhD or ABD in Economics, or MA in Economics, with teaching experience.
• Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
• Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Economics.
• Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).

Responsibilities

• Scheduled contact time with students
• Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
• Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
