About The Position
Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for a Half Course Instructor for STAT 1P21 (Preparation for Introductory Statistics) for the Fall D2 term. This role involves scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59 effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.
Requirements
- PhD in STAT or related discipline. Senior doctoral candidates will be considered if no qualified applicants are found.
- Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of STAT.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
