About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for the Marketing Research course (MKTG 4P29) for the Fall D2 2026 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. The role involves teaching a half course, with compensation detailed for both half and full courses. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a PhD in Business specializing in Marketing.
  • Must be research or professionally active.
  • Must have previous successful and appropriate teaching experience at the university level.
  • Applications must include a cover letter, a current resume, and seniority date.
  • Required to submit all required documentation, including letters of reference and course/performance evaluations.
  • Applicants are responsible for submitting their seniority date; those who don't will be assumed not to have one.
  • Graduate Students enrolled at Brock University shall not accept an appointment in excess of an average of ten hours per week over an academic term, in which she is enrolled as a full time student, without the prior permission of the Dean of Graduate Studies.
  • Undergraduate Students enrolled at Brock University shall not accept more than nine Teaching Assistant appointments, or the equivalent of nine Teaching Assistant appointments in any classification, per term minus the number of courses in which that student is currently enrolled.
  • Part-time Graduate Students and Non-Students shall not accept any appointment which, taken together with all other appointments at the University, would cause the member to exceed the maximum number of regular hours - i.e. not overtime hours - allowable in a work week under the Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time.
  • Applicants in excess of the noted workload limits will not have their applications considered unless they have received prior written approval from the appropriate Dean and the Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the Marketing Research course (MKTG 4P29) for the Fall D2 2026 term.
  • Responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course if employed in a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent.
  • Fulfill duties and responsibilities in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.

Benefits

  • Compensation for a half course: $7,887.59 (Effective September 1, 2026)
  • Compensation for a full course: $15,775.20 (Effective September 1, 2026)
