About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for the part-time course MKTG 2P91 (half course) for the Winter D3 2027 term. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group and is for the Introduction to Marketing 1 course, Section 2, with scheduled class times on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:00 to 18:30. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59 (195 hours nominally) and for a full course is $15,775.20 (390 hours nominally), effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Requirements

Minimum of PhD in Business specializing in Marketing.
Must be research or professionally active.
Must have previous successful and appropriate teaching experience at the University level in Marketing.

Responsibilities

Develop course outline and deliver scholarly lectures.
Create and administer assignments, tests, and final exams within timelines noted by the Chair and in line with usual University and departmental practice.
Schedule and maintain student contact time/hours.
Be responsible for grading of student assignments.
In coordination with the Chair, manage disciplinary and academic integrity for the course, which may include grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty.
Scheduled contact time with students.
Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration.
