About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill two part-time Instructor positions for the course MGMT 1P96 Principles of Communication in the Business Environment for the Winter D3 2027 term. These positions involve scheduled contact time with students, as well as non-classroom time for lecture preparation, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration. The compensation is set at $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Business specializing in Business Communications
  • Must be research or professionally active
  • Must have previous successful and appropriate teaching experience at the University level in Business Communications
  • Applications must include a cover letter and a current resume
  • Members with seniority can provide seniority date in the application questionnaire
  • Assure to include all required documentation, including letters of reference and course/performance evaluations
  • Members shall not accept any appointment which, taken together with all other appointments at the University, would cause the member to exceed the maximum number of regular hours (i.e., not overtime hours) allowable in a work week under the Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time.
  • Applicants that are in excess of the above noted workload limits will not have their applications considered unless they have received prior written approval from the appropriate Dean and the Human Resources Department.
