About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for SPMA 3P08 Sport Event Management Lecture for the Winter D3 term. This position involves scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time, including lecture preparation, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration. The compensation for this role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) or $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Positions are subject to course enrollments and budgetary approval.
Requirements
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in this topic area.
- Relevant work/industry experience.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations) in this topic area.
Nice To Haves
- PhD in Sport Management or related discipline is preferred.
