About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for NUSC 1P01, Nursing Fundamentals 1, for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The role involves scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration. Requirements
- PhD in Nursing or related discipline
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Experience teaching fundamental nursing concepts including therapeutic communication and relational practice
- Experience teaching in large class settings
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations)
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in nursing or related discipline and relevant clinical and teaching experience (considered if no qualified PhD applicants)
Responsibilities

- Course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
- Responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course for instructors employed in a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent.
