Instructor - Nursing (Spring 2027 - Tenure Track)

MVCC is seeking to fill a full-time, ten-month Instructor position in our School of Health Sciences. The Instructor will teach in an Accreditation Commission for Education Nursing (ACEN)-accredited, Associate degree nursing program. Full-time faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Teaching responsibilities includes lecture, lab and clinical assignments offered during the day, evening or weekend on the Utica campus with travel to off-campus clinical sites. Other specific assignments will be made based on the individual's academic qualifications and program needs. In addition to teaching, full-time instructors participate in program assessment, curriculum development, student advisement, facilitating student experiences, recruiting for the program and serve on various School and College Committees.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing at the time of appointment (or completion within one (1) year)
- Current RN licensure in New York State
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Flexibility in schedule
- Willingness to work and contribute collaboratively
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.
- Official academic transcripts required upon hire.
