Instructor - Chemistry (Spring 2027- Tenure Track)
About The Position
Mohawk Valley Community College is seeking to fill a tenure-track, ten-month Instructor position in the School of STEM-Transfer. This position will provide instruction for chemistry courses including the General Chemistry sequence for science and engineering majors and College Chemistry for students in health professions. Full-time faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Courses may be taught in a traditional classroom and online formats. This position may include both daytime and evening classes on our Utica and/or Rome campuses. Other specific assignments will be made based on the individual's academic qualifications and program needs. In addition to teaching, full-time instructors participate in program assessment, curriculum development, student advisement, facilitating student experiences, recruiting for the program and serve on various School and College Committees.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Biology or related discipline
- College teaching experience
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.
