About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the course MARS 1F90 Medieval and Renaissance Civilizations. The compensation is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) or $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as lecture preparation, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.
Requirements
- PhD in medieval and Renaissance studies or related discipline.
- Evidence of satisfactory teaching experience at the university level, including course development and large class lecturing.
- Experience with online course components and activities.
- Demonstrated breadth of knowledge of medieval and Renaissance Cultural history (e.g., research, publications, and course development).
