About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for the course IADM 2P05 Game Design Paradigms. This is a Winter D3 position, to be held in-person on Tuesdays from 16:00-19:00, from January to April 2027. The compensation effective September 1, 2026, is $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) or $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities align with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement, including scheduled contact time, lecture preparation, student consultation, marking, grading, course administration, and handling grade appeals and academic dishonesty cases. Positions are subject to course enrollments and budgetary approval. Requirements

  • Masters degree in a Humanities or Social Science discipline with a focus on game studies
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., through course evaluations and/or academic references)
  • Evidence of scholarly research and/or applied practice related to game studies
