About The Position
Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The course is IADM 1P02 Web Media Production, offered online in a mixed format on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, running from January to April 2027. The compensation for this role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) or $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities align with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement, including scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, grade appeals, and handling cases of academic dishonesty.
Requirements
- Hold a university degree in interactive media or a related field.
- Evidence of web design background including graphic design, and scripting.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness in online course(s) (e.g., through course evaluations and/or academic references).
- Familiarity with the features of an online learning management system.
