About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group for the course IADM 1P05: Games, Genres and Aesthetics. The course is scheduled to run in Winter D3, from January to April 2027. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59 and for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as lecture preparation, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, grade appeals, and cases of academic dishonesty, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in a Humanities or Social Science discipline with a focus on game studies
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., through course evaluations and/or academic references)
  • Evidence of scholarly research and/or applied practice related to game studies
