About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor in the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group, specifically for HEALTH CAMPAIGNS IN ACTION. This role involves scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration. The compensation is effective September 1, 2026, with rates provided for half and full courses. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. The position is subject to course enrollments and budgetary approval. Requirements

  • Master's degree in any Public Health discipline combined with relevant experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of delivering evidence-informed, theory-based public health communication/social marketing campaigns
  • Ability to create, deliver and manage an experiential course that effectively engages students in knowledge assimilation and application
  • Previous academic training and/or teaching experience (with emphasis on collaborative learning) that includes experiential courses in public health program/campaign delivery
  • Demonstrated proficiency supporting and assessing student learning in potentially-unpredictable, real-world environments
  • Superior communication abilities combined with strong organizational, information-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience with large class size at the undergraduate university level

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with online delivery tools (MS Teams, Brightspace, Lifesize, etc.) is an asset
