About The Position
Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for HLSC 2P90 Winter D3. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) and $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities align with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement, including scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, grade appeals, and cases of academic dishonesty.
Requirements
- A PhD in Public Health, Psychology, Sexology, or related field
- A sound knowledge of sexuality research and clinical practice
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience with large class size at the undergraduate university level
Nice To Haves
- Experience with online delivery tools (MS Teams, Brightspace, Lifesize, etc.) is an asset
- Those at ABD or those with a master’s degree combined with relevant experience will be considered if no qualified PhD applications are received after the deadline.
