About The Position
The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking part-time instructors to teach History courses. The primary teaching format will be on-ground, with potential opportunities for online instruction. Teaching assignments will typically include introductory-level History courses, but may extend to other program courses based on departmental needs. CSN is a comprehensive, multi-campus community college serving the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area, and is Nevada's largest college. It educates over 50,000 students annually and is committed to providing accessible education to a diverse and growing population.
Requirements
- Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) from a regionally accredited college or university with at least 18 graduate credits in the subject being taught, also from a regionally accredited college or university.

Responsibilities
- Teach college-level courses in the field.
- Develop syllabi and course materials.
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
- Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
- Teach at multiple campuses in Clark County.
- Be available to teach day, evening and/or weekend courses.
