About The Position

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by department need. This position may close early if the hiring need is filled or due to volume of applications received. Teach transferable, entry-level lectures and/or laboratories in Majors or Non-majors Biology. Develop syllabi and course materials as directed by the Lead Faculty Member and/or Lab Coordinator. Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Biological Sciences or a closely-related field from an accredited College or University (for lectures)
• Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences or a closely-related field from an accredited College or University (for labs)
• Experience teaching General Biology Lectures
• Experience teaching General Biology labs or experience in a laboratory situation
• Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and PowerPoint
• Ability and willingness to use email for official communications
