About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a part-time Instructor for Economics for the Fiscal Year 2027. This role involves teaching college-level courses, developing course materials, evaluating student progress, and contributing to student advisement and program development. The instructor will teach at multiple campuses in Clark County and may be required to teach day, evening, and/or weekend courses. CSN is Nevada's largest college and one of the largest in the nation, serving over 50,000 students annually across more than 50 locations. It is a comprehensive, multi-campus community college accredited by the Northwest Commission on College and Universities, offering over 70 academic programs. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Economics from a regionally accredited college or university with 18 graduate credits in the subject being taught from a regionally accredited college or university.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate Degree in Economics from a regionally accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

  • Teach college-level courses in the field.
  • Develop syllabi and course materials.
  • Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
  • Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
  • Teach at multiple campuses in Clark County.
  • Be available to teach day, evening and/or weekend courses.
