About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for ERSC 3P93 Fall D2. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) and $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities align with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement, including scheduled student contact time and non-classroom activities such as lecture preparation, student consultation, marking, grading, course administration, grade appeals, and handling academic dishonesty cases.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Geophysics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Teaching at the advanced University level
