About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for CHYS 4P25 Winter D3 - The Social Origins of Children's Minds. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The role involves scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration. Requirements

PhD in Child and Youth Studies or related discipline (Such as Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, Community Psychology, Sociocultural Anthropology). If there are no qualified applicants, senior doctoral candidates will be considered.
Prior teaching and/or research experience reflecting an appreciation of the social, cultural, institutional, political, discursive, etc. contexts mediating psychological functioning in children and youth (socio-cultural perspectives on topics such as memory, creativity and imagination, learning, children's voice, etc. -specific topics may vary in accordance with the instructors interests, but should reflect and understanding of psychological processes as socio-cultural phenomena)
Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
