About The Position
Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group, specifically for the CHYS 2P52 Winter D3 - Research Methods in Child & Youth Studies II course. This position involves scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom responsibilities such as lecture preparation, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration. The compensation for this role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) or $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Requirements
- PhD in Child and Youth Studies, Psychology, Education, Health Sciences, or related discipline. Senior doctoral candidates will be considered if no qualified applicants are found.
- Experience in teaching quantitative research methods, statistics, the scientific method and/or research experience using quantitative research methods (e.g., experimental or quasi-experimental research design, ethics, data collection, and data analysis).
- Prior teaching and/or research experience pertaining to child development.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
