About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for CHYS 3P90 Winter D3 - Self-Regulation and Moral Development. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for this role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) and $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Requirements

• PhD in Psychology or related Social Sciences discipline. Consideration will be given to senior doctoral candidates if no qualified applicants are found.
• Familiarity with a diversity of theoretical and disciplinary perspectives.
• Prior teaching and/or research experience in development and self-regulation in contexts related to children and youth.
• Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).

Responsibilities

• Scheduled contact time with students
• Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
• Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
