About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a Tenure Track Instructor for Accounting, Finance, & Comp Office Tech, starting in Spring 2027. This role supports the mission of the Nevada System of Higher Education and CSN. The primary responsibilities include teaching students in areas such as Financial, Managerial, and Tax Accounting, as well as other accounting courses. The position also involves student advisement, recruitment activities, assessment of Student Learning Outcomes, and Program/Curriculum Development. Additionally, the instructor will serve on Department, School, and Collegewide Committees and perform other assigned duties. A key aspect of this role is the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce and student body, and a desire to engage with the local community and business sector, including collaboration with CCSD. The instructor should be interested in self-growth through internal and external courses and seminars using learning management systems. Assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of day/evening and/or weekend classes.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration from a regionally accredited College/University.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in Accounting
  • CPA and/or CFE Professional Certification

Responsibilities
