Instructional Assistant - Special Ed - 29 Hours/Week - Turtle Rock (Current Employees)
About The Position
Under the supervision of the Principal, assists instructional personnel in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in an assigned classroom or other learning environment. May provide instructional and behavior support to individual students one-on-one. Assists in preparing instructional materials and implementing lesson plans, provides routine clerical support, and performs related work as required. This is an in-district vacancy available only to current school district employees who have passed their six-month probationary period. Applicants who are not currently instructional assistants with IUSD must submit one of the specified qualifying documents with their application.
Requirements
- Must be a current employee of the school district and have passed the six-month probationary period.
- High school graduation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Some experience working with children in an educational or organized setting.
- Applicants who are not currently IUSD instructional assistants must provide proof of passage of the CBEST, an AA degree or higher from an accredited U.S. institution, passing scores of 70% in all sections of the IUSD Proficiency Test, ACT scores of at least 23 in Math and 22 in English, or SAT scores of at least 550 in Math and 500 in English.
