About The Position

This position is for an Instructional Assistant II supporting Special Day Class (SDC) at Albert Schweitzer K-5. The role involves working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. Typical duties include running small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class and General Education settings, and supporting the teacher's needs. The district is looking for candidates with relevant experience and training to perform these duties.

Requirements

Must pre-qualify by attaching your High School Diploma or equivalent
Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.

If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, you must have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.
