About The Position

Development of listening strategies and skills in context-reduced speech with varied delivery rates and text types. Systematic exposure to a variety of registers and accents. Practice in understanding the language of meetings and assemblies, and taking notes. Development of critical listening skills. Development of skills for fluent and accurate oral language use in a wide range of university workplace situations. Development of conversation management and self-monitoring skills. Refinement of vocabulary and grammar use and pronunciation skills. From November 9 to December 9, 2026; Monday and Wednesday 12:00pm to 1:30pm. Please note that this course is given online (virtual mode).

Requirements

B.A. with specialization in a field relevant to the teaching of L2 English or Higher Certificate in L2 English Teaching.
Two years of experience teaching ESL at the college and/or university level.
Previous experience teaching this course or an equivalent ESL course.
Experience with heterogeneous group.
An acceptable level of education/experience may be considered equivalent to the required training and/or demonstrated experience.
