About The Position

Meals on Wheels New Mexico’s mission is to deliver healthy meals and friendship—neighbor to neighbor. As our Institutional Giving Manager, you will use your skills and expertise in successful grants management to aid our organization by securing continuous funding, improving business opportunities through effective funding programs, and executing meaningful projects. This person serves as the primary grant writer, manages funder relationships, engages in compliance reporting, and supports special project initiatives. This position requires strong writing, data analysis, program budgeting, and project management skills, with an emphasis on outcome measurement. The Institutional Giving Manager will be responsible for executing the organization’s grant and corporate funding initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of grant and/or program management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, with acuity with detail
  • Competency in budget management, program reporting, and grants and database management
  • A deep belief in our values of Compassion, Reliability, Service, and Teamwork

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with food, hunger, health, or senior services a plus

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, write, submit, track, and manage grant proposals and reports
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective funders
  • Maintain grant compliance, budgeting, outcome measurements, and reporting
  • Lead cultivation and stewardship of corporate partners for our Business Banquet program
  • Support with events and individual giving as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
