About The Position

Installation Technicians work independently at customers’ homes and businesses, installing and activating high-speed broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services. The work includes installing lines, climbing ladders, and connecting and activating Wi-Fi networks. Technicians meet customers, troubleshoot problems, and provide service as trusted technology experts. AT&T provides extensive training, resources, and ongoing paid training to support development and career growth.

Requirements

Valid state driver’s license.
Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds.
Must weigh less than 325 pounds for ladder safety.
Ability to work in small spaces and at heights up to 28 feet.
Ability to identify wire and cable colors.
Must qualify on pre-employment assessments.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Availability for overtime, emergency callouts, and holiday work.

Responsibilities

Install and activate broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services at customer homes and businesses.
Install new lines and connect and activate Wi-Fi networks.
Troubleshoot problems and provide customer service.
Work independently in customers’ homes and businesses.
