About The Position

As an Installation Technician, you’ll work independently at customers’ homes and businesses, installing and activating high-speed broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services. The work may include installing lines, climbing ladders, and setting up and activating Wi-Fi networks. Technicians meet customers, troubleshoot problems, and help deliver a seamless customer experience. AT&T provides extensive training and resources in a collaborative team environment, with ongoing paid training and opportunities to learn and pursue career paths. The role is based in Albany or Columbus, Georgia, and is scheduled for 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Possess a valid state driver’s license.
Lift and move up to 60 pounds.
Weigh less than 325 pounds for ladder safety.
Work in small spaces and at heights of up to 28 feet.
Identify wire and cable colors.
Qualify on a pre-employment assessment.
Be available for overtime, emergency call-outs, and holiday work.
Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Install and activate high-speed broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services at customers’ homes and businesses.
Install lines and set up and activate Wi-Fi networks.
Troubleshoot problems and provide customers with a seamless service experience.
Work independently at customer locations.
