About The Position

QC Signs & Graphics is seeking an experienced, hands-on Installation & Operations Manager to lead the installation team and oversee daily installation operations. This working manager plans and schedules crews, trains installers, ensures projects are properly prepared, and works in the field. The role combines sign-installation expertise with leadership, organization, communication, and a commitment to completing work safely and correctly the first time. The manager oversees installation schedules, crews, workloads, equipment, and resources; prepares crews for upcoming projects; installs and oversees a range of signage and graphics; and coordinates with Project Managers and Production to keep work on schedule and within budget. The position also maintains quality and safety standards, develops installer skills, monitors efficiency, maintains vehicles and equipment, and improves workflows. Compensation is $33.65–$38.46 per hour. Benefits include paid time off, profit sharing, performance-based bonuses, and free food and snacks. The position is with a local Signworld affiliate. Signworld is an organization of independently owned sign companies throughout North America that serves local and national clients.

Requirements

At least 3 years of sign installation experience.
Experience with commercial signage, vinyl graphics, and vehicle wraps.
Basic electrical and LED signage experience.
Experience operating lifts and/or bucket trucks.
Strong construction and power-tool skills.
Ability to read drawings, layouts, measurements, and installation plans.
Strong scheduling, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead a crew while also working hands-on.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving and insurance requirements.
Ability to safely lift 75 pounds or more and work from ladders or lifts and at heights.
Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
3M or Avery certification.
OSHA training.
Electrical certification.
Experience with 3M, Avery, or Oracal products.

Responsibilities

Manage the daily installation schedule, crews, workload, equipment, and resources.
Review upcoming projects and ensure crews have the correct signs, materials, tools, equipment, measurements, and instructions.
Install and oversee channel letters, pan signs, monument signs, post-and-panel signs, interior signage, vinyl graphics, and vehicle wraps.
Perform or oversee basic electrical sign work, including LED connections.
Conduct site surveys, measurements, photography, and installation assessments.
Operate bucket trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, ladders, and related equipment.
Train and cross-train installers and establish ongoing skill-development goals.
Enforce company safety, quality, and installation standards.
Perform final quality checks and ensure installations meet work orders and approved specifications.
Reduce installation mistakes, reprints, remakes, callbacks, and unnecessary return visits.
Coordinate with Project Managers and Production to keep projects on schedule.
Monitor labor efficiency and help keep projects on time and within budget.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and installation areas.
Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
Identify workflow problems and implement improvements that increase efficiency and accountability.
