About The Position

The Windows and Doors Specialist is an inside sales role focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving sales within the branch and over the phone. The position requires specialized knowledge of windows and doors to help customers find appropriate solutions, perform takeoffs, prepare quotes, and coordinate with vendors for accurate and timely fulfillment. The role reports to the Branch Operations Manager and has no direct reports.

Requirements

• Experience in construction sales or residential construction/home building.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and perform takeoffs accurately with minimal direction.
• Proficiency with vendor-specific software for quoting and order management, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical details to customers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection, orders, and special requests, matching solutions to their project needs.
• Perform accurate takeoffs to determine material requirements and prepare precise estimates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key window and door vendors, coordinate contract visits, and stay informed about product offerings.
• Use vendor-specific software to create quotes, track orders, and provide product information.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, following up promptly and resolving issues.
• Maintain a neat and orderly counter and showroom area.
• Coordinate with the outside sales team to support customer needs and manage sample and literature requests.
• Stay informed about industry trends, product innovations, and best practices.
• Occasionally support order fulfillment by assisting with warehouse tasks such as pulling orders or checking inventory.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Branch Operations Manager.
