About The Position

Fluid Power Sales, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to establish and expand relationships with current and prospective customers. As the primary knowledge base, you will directly impact customers and the bottom line. Fluid power systems are comprised of components like manifolds, pumps, cylinders, valves, hose, and fittings, serving markets such as packaging, mining, agriculture, construction, and automation. Requirements

Industrial sales experience.
Advanced computer and analytical skills.
Strong technical aptitude with a desire to learn.
Ability to work independently.
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in an inside sales role required.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the practical application of pumps-hoses-fittings-hydraulics is a bonus but not required!

Responsibilities

Confer with customers and factory representatives to assess equipment needs based on application requirements.
Achieve sales and profit goals by developing existing customers, opening new business, and customer retention.
Conduct sales and customer service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
Prepare quotes and proposals, follow up, and negotiate terms, and close transactions.
