About The Position

All Star Rents is a family-owned equipment rental business established in 1962 and operated by the third generation of the family. Its 13 locations sell and rent construction equipment, tools, and vehicles. The Inside Sales Representative is a full-time, hourly position working primarily at a sales counter with phone and walk-in customers. The role requires Saturday shifts; shifts end before 5:30 p.m., and there are no nights or Sundays. The position includes introductory 90-day bootcamp training on servicing equipment and customers the All Star Rents way.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid California driver's license with a satisfactory record.
Provide valid proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Be able to lift 50 pounds unaided.
Have computer literacy, including typing and understanding computers, technology, and basic software such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
Have professional English communication skills, written and verbal.
Have a serious attitude toward workplace safety.
Pass a satisfactory background check.
Pass a 4-panel drug screening and choose a drug-free lifestyle.
Be a team player with a positive attitude who enjoys having fun at work.

Nice To Haves

Some mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment; certifications are a plus.
Bilingual communication skills.

Responsibilities

Handle phone calls and walk-in customers at the sales counter.
Schedule work orders and complete customer contracts.
Maintain a proven record of success selling new and used equipment for the branch.
Keep the showroom clean and organized.
Follow up with customers regarding rentals.
Commission new jobs as necessary.
Use equipment knowledge to increase sales and drive business.
Load and unload equipment for customers and assist with safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service.
Deliver equipment as needed.
Keep safety a top priority.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Complete tasks, processes, and procedures delegated by a supervisor.
Maintain a professional appearance as a representative of All Star Rents.
