About The Position

TAMCO TOOLS is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join its team. The role involves handling incoming phone calls, processing customer orders, responding promptly and effectively to customer inquiries, and assisting outside salesmen in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The representative also coordinates with shipping, manages back orders, enters sales orders and applicable production data, and tracks and expedites orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of related inside sales experience.
• Willingness to learn and grow, with an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
• Comfort making cold calls and talking to new people.
• Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer-centric attitude and commitment to company values.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependability and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM.
• Close visual acuity and upper-limb coordination.
• Ability to sit for extended periods during normal phase duties.
• Ability to lift 5–25 pounds during normal phase duties.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems experience preferred.
• Construction or industrial background is a plus.
• Expediting, order entry, and purchasing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer orders and phone calls and assist outside salesmen.
• Act as a liaison with the shipping department and manage back orders.
• Provide timely, accurate information about customer order status and product knowledge.
• Enter sales orders and applicable production data.
• Confirm processing costs and processing orders.
• Track and expedite sales and processing orders as required.
• Dispatch customer orders when ready; locate trucks; and ship and track customer orders.
