ISEC•La Palma, CA

About The Position

The Inside Business Development position develops relationships with current and prospective customers in an assigned territory to sell ISEC products and services. The role is responsible for achieving regional sales, profit, and revenue goals and requires a successful record of closing customer contracts, building strategic relationships, and leading sales activities. The position supports sales across ISEC scopes of work, including laboratory furniture, doors, frames and hardware, specialties, architectural woodwork, ornamental metals, and medical equipment, serving private, industrial, college and university, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, and government markets. The role develops leads and client relationships through meetings, industry events, and local construction affiliations; uses market data, trends, and forecasting to qualify opportunities; and prepares and delivers formal sales presentations and bid proposals. It coordinates bid proposals and document controls throughout the sales cycle, then turns work over to estimating and operations. The position develops sales strategies by assessing project risks, logistics, contract documents, vendors, subcontractors, and competitors, and works with internal teams to minimize risk and maximize profit and closure opportunities. It negotiates contract terms on ISEC’s behalf, provides pre-construction architectural assistance and budget support, and follows projects through status tracking, closure, and price recaps. Travel may be required as necessary.
