About The Position

Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital, a Joint Commission-accredited psychiatric hospital in Panama City, FL, is seeking a full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist for their Adult Unit. The hospital serves children, adolescents, adults, active-duty service members and their families, and veterans. This role involves daily caseloads of adult patients, with the flexibility to treat ages 12 and older during weekend call. The position is Monday-Friday, daytime hours, and onsite only. There is a 1:4 weekend coverage rotation for in-person rounding and telephonic call, as well as one evening call shift per week by phone only. Employment options include full-time W2 with benefits or fee for service. Additional earnings are possible through extra call options and a Productivity Bonus Plan for W2 employees.

Requirements

M.D./D.O. with Board Certification in General Psychiatry
Florida medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.

Nice To Haves

BC in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry a plus.
Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency and Child/Adolescent fellowship program a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients.
Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.
