About The Position

Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital, a Joint Commission-accredited psychiatric hospital in Panama City, FL, is seeking a full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist for its Adult Unit. The hospital provides mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, active-duty service members and their families, and veterans. The role involves treating adult populations, with the flexibility to treat ages 12 and older for weekend call. The position offers a Monday-Friday, daytime, onsite schedule with a 1:4 weekend coverage rotation for rounding and telephonic call, and one evening phone call shift per week. Employment options include full-time W2 with benefits or fee for service. Additional earnings potential exists through extra call options and a Productivity Bonus Plan for W2 employees.

Requirements

M.D./D.O. with Board Certification in General Psychiatry.
Florida medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.

Nice To Haves

BC in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry a plus.
Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency and Child/Adolescent fellowship program a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients.
Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.
Supervision of NP.
