About The Position

The Inpatient Behavioral Health Registered Nurse provides compassionate nursing care to patients with behavioral health conditions and supports their families. The role contributes to recovery by offering nursing support and meaningful feedback to the multidisciplinary team so treatment goals can be tailored to each person’s needs. The nurse educates and supports patients and families during behavioral health admission and provides care focused on safety and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities include leading patient observations, managing the milieu, and communicating and addressing emergent needs.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduates preferred.
• Behavioral or psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities
