About The Position

The Inpatient Behavioral Health Registered Nurse provides compassionate, dignified, and stigma-free care to patients with behavioral health conditions and supports their families. The nurse contributes to patient recovery and empowerment, provides meaningful feedback to the multidisciplinary team to help tailor individual treatment goals, and educates and supports patients and families during behavioral health admission. Nursing care focuses on safety and patient satisfaction, including leading patient observations, managing the milieu, and communicating and addressing emergent patient needs.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college or university-affiliated nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Connecticut.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduates preferred.
• Behavioral or psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support patients and their families in recovery from behavioral health conditions.
