Inpatient Behavioral Health Registered Nurse RN
About The Position
The Inpatient Behavioral Health Registered Nurse works on Saint Mary’s Hospital’s Behavioral Health Team, providing compassionate, dignified, and respectful care to patients with behavioral health conditions and their families. The team fosters an inclusive, stigma-free environment and focuses on high-quality, person-centered care. Nurses support patients and families throughout behavioral health admission and recovery, provide feedback to help the multidisciplinary team tailor treatment goals to individual needs, and educate and support patients and families. Nursing care also supports safety and patient satisfaction through patient observations, milieu management, and communication about and response to emergent needs. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week position on a 12-hour night shift, with weekend and holiday requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Connecticut.
- Current BLS certification.
- Availability for a full-time, 36-hour-per-week 12-hour night shift, including weekends and holidays.

- Behavioral or psychiatric experience.
