About The Position

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks an Infrastructure Engineering Senior Manager for the Seattle, WA location to administer, design and engineer the company’s Citrix/Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) farms to deliver applications to remote users at corporate sites, branch offices and outsourced locations. This role involves meeting with business teams to provide optional technology solutions, utilizing the entire suite of Citrix and Virtual products, and managing servers and desktops within a VMware ESX environment. The position requires leading a diverse team of industry experts supporting over 65,000 colleagues globally, defining and driving the strategic direction of the Citrix infrastructure, and aligning engineering initiatives with broader IT and business goals. It also includes promoting team development through training and stretch assignments, fostering a collaborative culture, overseeing hiring and performance evaluations, and driving automation and optimization of Citrix operations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, effective communication with senior leadership, and leading proof-of-concept initiatives are also key aspects of this role. The work schedule is hybrid.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computers or Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience.
  • Administration of Citrix farms via management console
  • Citrix infrastructure design for large scale deployments
  • Administration of Citrix Management utilities such as: Citrix License Server, Citrix PVS (Provisioning Services), ControlUP, Cloud Connectors, Citrix App Layering
  • Managing and engineering Citrix NetScaler technology for access gateway, ssl/vpn, ICA proxy and load-balancing solutions
  • Administration of Terminal Server Licensing and Management of User Profiles via Citrix WEM and UPM
  • Virtualizing and streaming applications in MS App-V and Citrix App Layering
  • Writing scripts for automating tasks, app deployments and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with business teams to provide optional technology solutions for application delivery to remote users at corporate sites, branch offices, and outsourced locations.
  • Utilize entire suite of Citrix and Virtual products including Citrix Cloud (DaaS), ControlUP, LiquidWare, Citrix App Layering, Azure and VMWare ESX/VCenter.
  • Manage servers and desktops within a VMware ESX environment, including utilizing VMWare and Citrix software to manage thousands of virtual servers which support a user base of 65,000+ colleagues throughout the company.
  • Lead diverse team of industry experts supporting 65,000+ colleagues globally using Citrix products and tools.
  • Define and drive the strategic direction of the Citrix infrastructure and related virtualization technologies.
  • Align Citrix engineering initiatives with broader IT and business goals.
  • Promote team development by providing training opportunities and stretch assignments.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Drive automation and optimization of Citrix operations and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including networking, security, desktop support, and application teams.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Translate technical concepts into business value and impact.
